Tunnelmia Wrath of the Lich King -yömyynnistä
Viime yönä 12-13. marraskuuta 2008, 20 suomalaista jälleenmyyjää avasi ovensa minuutin yli kaksitoista Blizzardin World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich Kingin julkaisua varten.
Myymälät Helsingissä, Espoossa, Vantaalla, Järvenpäässä, Tampereella, Lahdessa, Porvoossa, Oulussa, Raumalla, Rovaniemellä, Vaasassa, Kokkolassa ja Jyväskylässä myivät sekä pelin normaaliversiota että rajoitettua Collector’s Editionia.
Kävimme katsastamassa, miten jonotus sujui Helsingin City-käytävän Tilt-pelikaupassa sekä Kampin ostokeskuksen GameStopissa ja Konsolinetissä.
City-käytävän Tilt-pelikauppaan saapui ihmisiä runsain mitoin
City-käytävällä oli myös viihdykettä odotusta lieventämässä
GameStopin jonossa ensimmäisinä olivat Elli, Mande ja Jebu. Kolmikko odotti laajennukselta lähes yksimielisesti uutta pelattavaa World of Warcraftin maailmassa. Elli arveli Wrath of the Lich Kingin parissa menevän koko yön, jos serverit vain toimivat kunnolla - ja mieluiten ilman lagia. Myös Mande odotti yön venähtävän pitkäksi, mutta Jebu pisti astetta paremmaksi: mies suunnitteli pelaavansa 24 tuntia putkeen.

Ostokeskusta viisi kerrosta ylempänä myös Konsolinetin ulkopuolelle oli kerääntynyt kiitettävä määrä ihmisiä, joista Rasmus, Joel ja Juho olivat saapuneet paikalle muita ennen. Rasmus tunnustautui vähemmän fanaattiseksi wowittajaksi, sillä mies on pelannut verkkoroolipeliä etupäässä Burning Crusade -lisäpaketin mukana tulleen ilmaisen kuukauden ajan. Hän kaavailikin Lich King -paketin avaamisen jäävän myöhemmälle ajankohdalle. Joel sen sijaan suunnitteli loppuyönä menevän pitkään, ja hän odotti lisäpaketilta eniten sen uutta mestaa. Jonossa kolmantena odottava Juho oli pitkälti samoilla linjoilla:
- Yöllä menee pitkään. Ja huomenna. Ja ylihuomenna. Uni tulee vasta ensi viikon alussa, hän naureskeli.
Kummankin kolmikon matkaan lähti World of Warcraft -lehti vaivanpalkaksi kommenteista.

Menin fiksuna ihmisenä ennakkotilaamaan pelin jo hyvissä ajoin netistä, kun työt ei oikein antaneet myöten yöllä jonotukseen. Nytpä harmittaa, kun peli jumittaa ilmeisesti postissa.

suosittelen ostamaan kaupasta , itse tilasin tiistai yönä ja ihmettelin perjantaille asti miksei peli saavu , soitin tilt pelaajan pelikauppaan ja siellä sanottiin että peli oli loppuun myyty ennen tiistai yötä. Peruin tilauksen ja hain pelin lähimmästä anttilasta.

Ennakkotilaus oli turhaa. Tuolla Kampin Gamestopin vieressä oli Anttila joka myi kanssa WotLKia ja antoi sadalle ensimmäiselle ostajalle T-paidan.
Tyhmänä ihmisenä minä (ja 100 muuta henkilöä) odotti Gamestopiin, jolta loppu paidat ensimmäisten viiden ihmisten kohdalla (5 meni itse työntekiöille).
Verrattuna Gamestopin jonoon Anttilan oli 4 kertaa lyhyempi, johtuen varmaan siitä, että suurin osa ihmisistä ennakkotilasi kopionsa. Eli ensi kerralla (milloin se kerta tuleekaan) ollaan fiksuja ja valitaan se lyhyt jono.
Valokuvaaja myös missas Kampissa olleen Warlockin, joka tuli hieman myöhässä VIP jonoon (koska ei tiennyt koko asiasta).
